Getting Started

Create an account on this website, then download the game client. Extract the ZIP to a folder like C:\MapleStory\, launch with LaunchMapleClassic.exe, and log in with your account credentials. Once in-game, type @guide to open the beginner guide with tips on getting started.

You can use the Job Advancer NPC in-game by typing @jobs. This NPC lets you advance through all four job tiers without needing to complete the standard job advancement quests. Explorer classes (Warrior, Magician, Bowman, Thief, Pirate) are available.

Here are some popular training spots by level range:

  • 1-30: Maple Island, Henesys Hunting Ground, Kerning City Swamp
  • 30-50: Kerning PQ, Carnival PQ, Wild Boars
  • 50-70: Ludibrium PQ, Zombies, Sanctuary
  • 70-100: Magatia, White Fangs, MP3
  • 100-120: Leafre (Skelegons, Skelosaurus), Goblin House
  • 120-150: Skelegons, Newties, Nest of a Dead Dragon
  • 150-200: Skelegons, Leafre Dragons, Stronghold

Use @tp or @go in-game to teleport to popular training areas.

Currency & Cash Shop

There are several ways to earn NX (Cash Shop currency):

  • Voting: Vote for the server daily to receive NX rewards.
  • Monster Drops: Some monsters drop NX Cash items that add NX to your account when used.
  • Donations: Support the server to receive NX in return.

Press the Cash Shop button in-game (bottom-right of the screen) or press the ~ key. Inside the Cash Shop, you can browse categories and purchase items with your NX balance. Items include cosmetic equipment, pets, megaphones, EXP coupons, and more. To exit, click the "Exit" button in the top-right corner.

Maple Points (MP) and NX are both Cash Shop currencies, but they work differently:

  • NX Credit: The primary currency. Earned from voting, donations, and NX drops. Can be used to buy most Cash Shop items.
  • Maple Points: A secondary currency that functions similarly to NX. Some items may only be purchasable with Maple Points.

Both currencies are displayed in the Cash Shop interface. Check the price tag on each item to see which currency it requires.

Use the Free Market to trade with other players. Type @go fm to warp there. You can set up a personal shop by purchasing a "Hired Merchant" from the Cash Shop, which lets you sell items even while offline. You can also browse active shops on the Marketplace page on this website.

Gameplay

Party Quests (PQs) are group activities that give great EXP and item rewards. On this server, most PQs can be completed solo (no party required). Popular PQs include:

  • Kerning PQ (Lv. 21-30): Navigate through obstacle stages. Talk to Lakelis in Kerning City.
  • Ludibrium PQ (Lv. 35-50): Enter the Toy Factory and collect passes. Talk to the NPC near the Eos Tower.
  • Carnival PQ (Lv. 30-50): Compete by summoning monsters. Talk to Spiegelmann.
  • Orbis PQ (Lv. 51-70): Explore the tower with multiple stages.
  • Magatia PQ (Lv. 71+): Romeo and Juliet storyline with boss fights.

Type @tp to teleport near PQ entrances.

When your character dies, you lose a percentage of your current EXP (you cannot lose a level). The amount varies by level:

  • Below Lv. 10: No EXP loss.
  • Lv. 10+: Lose ~10% of EXP needed for the current level.

You can reduce or prevent EXP loss with Safety Charms (available in the Cash Shop), which protect you from losing EXP on death. After dying, you will respawn in the nearest town.

Once you reach Level 200, you can rebirth by typing @rebirth in-game. Rebirthing resets your level back to 1 while keeping your equipment, mesos, and items. Your rebirth count increases, which is displayed on the rankings. Each rebirth lets you start fresh and try a different class if you want.

Fishing is an AFK-friendly activity where you can earn items and rewards. To get started:

  1. Buy bait and a fishing rod from the shop (type @fish in-game).
  2. Go to the Fishing Lagoon map (the NPC will take you there).
  3. Sit in the Fishing Chair with bait in your inventory.
  4. Your character will automatically fish while you are seated, consuming bait over time.

Better bait tiers (Basic, Quality, Delicious) give access to rarer rewards. Check the Fishing page for detailed reward tables and the leaderboard.
