Buccaneer

Pirate Buccaneer

Buccaneers are the bare-knuckle brawlers of the pirate class, fighting with raw fists and knuckle weapons. They transform into powerful super forms using Energy Charge and Transformation skills, becoming devastating melee fighters. Barrage delivers a flurry of punches for incredible single-target DPS, while Dragon Strike provides wide AoE clearing. With Time Leap resetting all party cooldowns and Speed Infusion boosting attack speed for the group, Buccaneers bring both incredible damage and irreplaceable party support to any team.

Pros
  • Barrage has some of the highest single-target DPS in the game when combined with Super Transformation
  • Time Leap resets ALL party member cooldowns including Resurrection, making Buccaneers irreplaceable in boss parties
  • Speed Infusion is a unique party buff that increases attack speed for all nearby party members
  • Super Transformation dramatically boosts stats, making Buccaneers extremely powerful during its duration
  • High HP from Improve MaxHP skill gives Buccaneers significantly more survivability than most classes
Cons
  • Melee range requirement means you are always close to danger, taking more hits from bosses and strong mobs
  • Transformation and Super Transformation have limited duration and cooldowns, creating windows where your damage drops
  • Energy Charge mechanic requires building up charge through attacks before you can use Energy-based skills
  • Knuckle weapons are relatively rare in the market, making gear progression harder than classes with common weapons
  • Without Transformation active, DPS drops significantly. Managing transformation uptime is a core gameplay challenge

AP Distribution

Lv. 1-10 Complete Maple Island quests. Put AP into STR primarily. You need some DEX for knuckle requirements (around 20 base), but keep it minimal.
Lv. 10-30 As a Brawler, go pure STR after meeting DEX requirements. Your punch damage and Backspin Blow scale with STR.
Lv. 30-70 All AP into STR. Energy Charge builds faster with more damage per hit. Corkscrew Blow and Double Uppercut both scale with STR.
Lv. 70-120 Continue pure STR as a Marauder. Transformation form benefits from high STR. Energy Blast and Shockwave damage both scale well.
Lv. 120-200 As a Buccaneer, all AP into STR. Barrage and Dragon Strike scale heavily with STR. Super Transformation multiplies your effective stats.

  • Keep Super Transformation up as much as possible during bossing. Your damage is significantly higher in transformed state. Use Time Leap to reset its cooldown for nearly permanent uptime.
  • Time Leap resets ALL cooldowns for ALL party members, including Resurrection. This makes you extremely valuable in boss parties. Coordinate with your party on when to use it.
  • Speed Infusion stacks with other attack speed buffs and affects your entire party. Always keep it active in party play for a significant group DPS increase.
  • Build Energy Charge by attacking any monster. Once fully charged, your Energy Blast and other energy skills become available. Keep attacking to maintain charge.
  • Barrage locks you in place during the animation. Position carefully before using it on bosses to avoid getting hit during the attack sequence.
