Magician F/P Arch Mage

Fire/Poison Arch Mages master the destructive elements of fire and poison, wielding Meteor Shower to rain devastation across the battlefield. Their Poison Mist creates damage-over-time zones, and Paralyze locks down single targets with massive damage. With Infinity providing unlimited MP, F/P Arch Mages are among the strongest magic damage dealers in v83.

  • Very squishy — lowest HP of all classes
  • Fire skills are resisted by many boss monsters
  • Meteor Shower has a long cooldown between casts
  • Poison damage-over-time is slow for single targets
  • Expensive to fund due to INT gear prices and need for HP washing

AP Distribution

Lv. 1-8 Put everything into INT from the start. Do the Maple Island quests for quick EXP.
Lv. 8-30 Keep LUK at level + 3 (minimum for equips). Everything else into INT.
Lv. 30-70 Continue LUK = Level + 3 formula. If you have LUK gear (earrings, Zakum Helm), you can reduce base LUK.
Lv. 70-120 With Zakum Helmet and other LUK gear, freeze base LUK around 60-70. All AP into INT.
Lv. 120-200 Endgame: Minimize LUK with gear. Some INT mages go LUKless with scrolled gear. Max INT for highest magic attack.

Lv 30: +1 Teleport (mobility), +4 Fire Arrow
Lv 31-35: Teleport to 15 (comfortable distance), Fire Arrow to 10
Lv 36-41: Fire Arrow to 30 (max, main attack)
Lv 42-47: Meditation to 20 (max, party magic attack buff)
Lv 48-51: Teleport to 20 (max)
Lv 52-57: MP Eater to 20 (max, MP sustain)
Lv 58-63: Poison Breath to 20 (alternate element)
Lv 64-70: Slow to 20 (max, utility)

3rd Job F/P Mage Lv. 70-120

Lv 70: +1 Explosion, +1 Element Amplification, +1 Spell Booster
Lv 71-79: Explosion to 30 (max, main AoE training skill)
Lv 80-89: Element Amplification to 30 (max, 50% damage boost)
Lv 90-95: Spell Booster to 20 (max, casting speed)
Lv 96-105: Poison Mist to 30 (max, zone control)
Lv 106-112: Element Composition to 20 (single-target option)
Lv 113-118: Seal to 20 (max, utility)

4th Job F/P Arch Mage Lv. 120-200

Lv 120: +1 Meteor Shower, +1 Paralyze, +1 Infinity
Lv 121-130: Paralyze to 30 (max, primary single-target DPS)
Lv 131-140: Meteor Shower to 30 (max, ultimate AoE)
Lv 141-150: Infinity to 30 (max, unlimited MP + magic boost)
Lv 151-160: Maple Warrior to 30 (max, party buff)
Lv 161-170: Big Bang to 30 (max, filler AoE)
Lv 171-180: Mana Reflection to 30 (max, passive defense)
Lv 181: Hero's Will to 5 (max, anti-seduce)

  • Use Poison Mist to soften up groups, then finish with Explosion or Meteor Shower for maximum efficiency.
  • Infinity is your most important buff — time your training rotations around its uptime for zero potion cost.
  • Paralyze is your bossing skill, not Meteor Shower — bosses are single targets and Paralyze has no cooldown.
  • Element Amplification costs 50% more MP per cast but the 50% damage boost is absolutely worth it — Infinity negates the MP cost.
  • HP washing is strongly recommended for mages — your base HP is very low and boss attacks will one-shot you without extra HP.
