Warrior Hero

Heroes are sword-wielding warriors who master the art of combo attacks, building up devastating chains of strikes. With Enrage boosting their already massive damage and Brandish cleaving through enemies, Heroes are one of the strongest single-target damage dealers in v83. Their Combo Attack system rewards aggressive, uninterrupted play.

Pros
  • Highest single-target DPS among warriors with Enrage + Brandish
  • Combo Attack system provides a massive damage multiplier
  • Rush is excellent for repositioning mobs and bossing
  • Rage provides a party-wide attack buff
  • Strong and consistent damage output at all levels
Cons
  • Getting hit resets combo orbs, punishing in mobby boss fights
  • Enrage disables your weapon defense, making you fragile
  • Limited mobbing ability compared to other warriors (no AoE like Dragon Roar)
  • Dependent on maintaining combo count for optimal damage
  • Requires high funding to truly shine in endgame bossing

AP Distribution

Lv. 1-10 Put everything into STR. You can go with 4 STR / 5 DEX to start if you want, but pure STR works if you have gear with DEX.
Lv. 10-30 Add DEX to around 35 to equip level 30 swords comfortably. Rest into STR.
Lv. 30-70 Keep DEX around 60 for weapon requirements. Pump all remaining AP into STR.
Lv. 70-120 If you have DEX gear (Zakum Helmet, accessories), you can start washing DEX out. Otherwise keep DEX at ~80 and dump STR.
Lv. 120-200 Endgame: Minimum DEX possible with equipment bonuses. All AP into STR. Consider HP washing for bosses like Horntail.

SP Allocation (Level by Level)

2nd Job Fighter Lv. 30-70

Lv 30: +1 Sword Booster (need Mastery 5 first, so +4 Sword Mastery, +1 Sword Booster)
Lv 31-33: Sword Mastery to 10, then Sword Booster to 6 (usable)
Lv 34-38: Sword Booster to 16, comfortable duration
Lv 39-43: Sword Mastery to 20 (max)
Lv 44-47: Rage to 20 (party attack buff)
Lv 48-53: Power Guard to 30 (max, damage reflect + reduction)
Lv 54-59: Sword Booster to 20 (max)
Lv 60-70: Final Attack: Sword to 30 (max, remaining points here)

3rd Job Crusader Lv. 70-120

Lv 70: +1 Combo Attack immediately (start building orbs)
Lv 71-79: Combo Attack to 30 (max, your core mechanic)
Lv 80-89: Coma: Sword to 30 (max, AoE stun for training)
Lv 90-96: Shout to 20 (AoE damage + stun)
Lv 97-106: Panic: Sword to 30 (max, single-target boss DPS)
Lv 107-112: Armor Crash to 20 (max, boss debuff utility)

4th Job Hero Lv. 120-200

Lv 120: +1 Brandish, +1 Enrage, +1 Advanced Combo Attack
Lv 121-130: Brandish to 30 (max, primary attack)
Lv 131-140: Advanced Combo Attack to 30 (max, boosts combo multiplier)
Lv 141-150: Enrage to 30 (max, +40 weapon attack at max orbs)
Lv 151-160: Maple Warrior to 30 (max, party stat buff)
Lv 161-170: Power Stance to 30 (max, anti-knockback for bossing)
Lv 171-178: Achilles to 30 (max, 15% damage reduction)
Lv 179-187: Rush to 30 (max, mobility and boss utility)
Lv 188: Hero's Will to 5 (max, anti-seduce)

Tutorial area, quick leveling to 10.
Lv. 21-30
Land of Wild Boar
Decent EXP, safe spot for warriors with Power Guard.
Lv. 30-40
Kerning City Subway
Great EXP for the level range, flat maps good for melee.
Lv. 40-55
Ant Tunnel I
Dense spawns, good EXP. Rage helps party here.
Lv. 55-70
Cold Field I
Excellent EXP. Warriors handle the damage well.
Lv. 70-85
Wolf Spider Cavern
Very high EXP and meso drops. Good with Combo + Panic.
Lv. 85-100
The Nightmarish Last Days
Great map layout for melee. High EXP mobs.
Lv. 100-120
Ghost Ship 5
Good EXP density, manageable with Shout + Combo.
Lv. 120-200
Forgotten Twilight
Best endgame map. Brandish + Rush makes clearing fast.

Equipment Progression

1-10 Beginner Sword Beginner clothing from Maple Island
10-30 Red Katana / Fireman's Axe (if funded) Full Steel set (Steel Helm, Platine, etc.) Get warrior jump and speed gear if available.
30-60 Doombringer (Lv 35) or Sparta (Lv 50) Mithril Platine set, Zakum Helmet when available Focus on weapon attack above all else.
60-90 Dragon Claymore (Lv 60) or Jeweled Katar (Lv 70) Gold Platine or Orientican set Start scrolling gear seriously.
90-120 Stonetooth Sword (Lv 100) or Maple Soul Singer Henesys set or scrolled bathrobe Aim for Zakum Helmet and HTP.
120-200 Stonetooth Sword (scrolled) or Dragon Carabella (Lv 130) Scrolled endgame gear, Horntail Pendant, Zakum Helm Full endgame scrolling. Aim for 30%+ STR on accessories.
  • Always maintain 10 combo orbs before using Enrage — it consumes all orbs for the attack boost.
  • Use Rush to push mobs into walls for easier mobbing and to reposition bosses.
  • Rage stacks with other party buffs but does NOT stack with other attack buffs from items like Cider.
  • Toggle Enrage off when taking heavy boss damage since it removes your weapon defense.
  • For Horntail, max Hero's Will early — seduce is the #1 cause of death for melee classes.
