Land of Wild Boar
Kerning City Subway
Toy Factory Process 2 Zone 3
Wolf Spider Cavern
The Nightmarish Last Days
Cemetery Full of Ghosts
Dragon Forest I
Road of Regrets 3
Pros
- Snipe deals a flat 199,999 damage per hit to non-boss enemies regardless of stats, making it the ultimate skill for farming tough single mobs
- Sharp Eyes provides the same incredible party buff as Bowmaster, making Marksmen highly sought after in boss parties
- Crossbows have higher base weapon attack than bows, giving slightly higher per-hit damage on Strafe and Piercing Arrow
- Piercing Arrow hits multiple enemies in a line, excellent for maps with linear mob layouts
- Frostprey summon freezes enemies, providing crowd control alongside damage
Cons
- Lower sustained DPS than Bowmaster on bosses since Marksmen lack Hurricane's rapid-fire capability
- Snipe does not work on boss monsters, removing your strongest tool in the fights that matter most
- Crossbow attack speed is inherently slower than bow attack speed, resulting in fewer hits per second
- Squishy class with low HP and limited defensive options, similar to Bowmaster survivability issues
- Piercing Arrow requires enemies to be lined up to hit multiples, making it position-dependent
AP Distribution
Lv. 1-10
Complete Maple Island quests. Put all AP into DEX. Keep STR at base (4). High early DEX ensures smooth training once you advance to Crossbowman.
Lv. 10-30
As a Crossbowman, continue pure DEX. You only need minimal STR for crossbow equip requirements. Soul Arrow removes ammo needs so focus entirely on damage.
Lv. 30-70
All AP into DEX. Your crossbow damage scales directly with DEX. STR should remain at the bare minimum required for your current weapon.
Lv. 70-120
As a Sniper, keep pumping DEX. Do not waste AP on STR. Consider getting any needed STR from scrolled equipment rather than raw AP.
Lv. 120-200
As a Marksman, all AP into DEX. Marksman Boost and high DEX combine for devastating Piercing Arrow and Snipe damage. Aim for maximum DEX with gear.

Notes
10-30
Battle Crossbow or Mountain Crossbow
Green Hunters Armor set or DEX quest rewards
Any crossbow with decent attack works. Focus on reaching 2nd job quickly.
30-50
Eagle Crow or Heckler
DEX Green/Brown Legolier set
Start scrolling crossbows with 60% Crossbow ATT scrolls for a meaningful damage boost.
50-70
Rower or Golden Crow
DEX Brown/Dark Legolier set or Archer Snow Suit
A well-scrolled crossbow makes a huge difference. Consider Free Market options.
70-100
Gross Jaeger or Falcon Wing
Zakum Helmet, DEX scrolled armor pieces
These crossbows carry you through 3rd job. Get Zakum Helmet for stat bonuses.
100-130
Dragon Shiner Cross or Nishada Cross
Zakum Helmet, HTP, scrolled DEX equipment
Transition into endgame crossbows. Dragon Shiner Cross is the standard choice.
130-200
Neschere or Timeless Abarr
Full endgame: Zakum Helm, HTP, PAC, scrolled Archer set
Best-in-slot is a perfectly scrolled Neschere. Timeless Abarr is a strong budget option.
- Snipe does 199,999 fixed damage to non-boss monsters regardless of your stats. Use it on tanky single mobs for instant kills that would otherwise take many Strafes.
- Piercing Arrow hits all enemies in a horizontal line. Position yourself at the edge of platforms to maximize the number of mobs you pierce through.
- Against bosses, Snipe does not work. Your rotation is Strafe spam with Puppet for aggro. Keep Sharp Eyes and Maple Warrior active at all times.
- Frostprey freezes enemies it attacks. This crowd control is valuable in maps with aggressive mobs and during boss runs for minion control.
- Crossbows are slower than bows, so Crossbow Booster is even more important for Marksmen. Always keep it active for the attack speed improvement.
